Mrs. Renée Kennett

Vice Principal & Learning Services Lead
Renée Kennett’s journey in education began right here in Sturgeon Public Schools as a pre-service teacher at Landing Trail School. Since then, she has spent the past 10 years teaching Grade 2 & 3 French Immersion, and Grade 4 at Morinville Public School, where she also had the privilege of serving as a Learning Coach. Renée found great fulfillment in supporting student learning, nurturing inclusive classroom communities, and working closely with staff to continually strengthen instructional practices.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Concordia University of Edmonton, as well as a Leadership Certification from the University of Calgary’s Continuing Education program. These academic and professional experiences have shaped her thoughtful approach to leadership and deepened her belief in the importance of fostering meaningful relationships and nurturing the whole child.
As a lifelong learner, Renée is passionate about growth for herself, for educators, and most importantly, for students. She believes every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and inspired, and she is committed to helping create a school environment where every voice is valued and every learner can thrive.
Renée approaches this new opportunity with heartfelt enthusiasm and looks forward to continuing to partner with the inspiring students, dedicated staff, caring families, and vibrant community of Redwater.
